Technology We Use

Drylet’s patented technology combines the power of microbiology with material science. Its award-winning biocatalyst reliably and effectively delivers beneficial microbes to the sludge, accelerating microbial activity and mass-to-gas conversion which, in turns, causes mixing in the sludge and effectively fuels the natural process of biological digestion. The biocatalyst is formulated with a specific microbial consortium for each type of application in order to optimize outcomes. In particular, Drylet’s Biological DredgingTM solution Bio Dredger is designed for industrial lagoons’ bioremediation. Its key features are:

  • Inorganic, porous particles that provide 154 basketball courts (700,000 sq-ft) of surface area per pound of product
  • Carefully selected beneficial microbes embedded in the particles, that produce the necessary enzymes to break down long-chain, complex molecules and lyse cells, degrading organic waste through the biological process of digestion in an anaerobic environment
  • Particles sink to the sludge where they adsorb solids, providing their embedded microbes with food while protecting them, thus allowing them to replicate at significantly accelerated rates while protecting them from predation from bacteria and phages

Drylet’s Biological DredgingTM solution is cheaper and remarkably less intrusive than the mechanical alternative. Its process allows regular operations at the site of a project to go on uninterrupted. In addition, while mechanical dredging destroys the biology in a wastewater lagoon, Drylet’s product Bio Dredger enhances it, thus improving treatment.
